danceFLOW incorporates curated “qi gong/tai chi” exercises to inspirational Ballroom, Latin and World music. The goal is to strengthen supporting muscles/connective tissues and maximize mobility and flexibility of the spine, back and joints (neck, shoulder, knees). Portions of the class involve seated breathing for balance, mind/thought management, stress relief and pain management.

By applying qigong/taichi principles from the Martial Arts about how energy moves through the body, students will gain mastery in creating “hyper slow motion” and “hyper fast” movements for Dance Dips, Rolls, Lines and Lunges used in Ballroom & Latin Dancing. As well as the skill of moving to slow and fast rhythms in music for musicality and expression.

danceScape has maintained a “Google 5 Star” Rating with overwhelming positive reviews of instructors, Robert Tang & Beverley Cayton-Tang. Robert & Beverley are 3-time Canadian and 2-time North American Ballroom Champions, as seen on the Marilyn Dennis Show (CTV), Dragons Den (CBC), Healthy Gourmet (Oprah Winfrey Network), Morning Live (CHCH Television), and ParticipACTION’s “Get Inspired. Get Moving” fitness campaign. They are recipients of the Award of Distinction by Ontario DanceSport and the Burlington Accessibility Award in Education from the City of Burlington.

With COVID-19 Social Distancing Regulations from Government & Health Authorities, danceScape will continue Health & Safety Protocols for In-Studio Classes.
