Dance to the Sounds of the Brant Inn
Discovery Landing in Burlington, Ontario, to Re-create an Evening of Music & Dancing
The Waterfront at Downtown Burlington’s Discovery Landing will feature an evening of Dance and Music of the Brant Inn on July 18th from 7 to 10 p.m. The event is organized in conjunction with the City of Burlington.

The event will be hosted by CHCH TV's Entertainment Reporter, Alex Reynolds. For four years, he hosted the weekly remote broadcasts from Burlington's Brant Inn - carried coast to coast on the CBC radio network. The famous nightspot was a stopover for all the major entertainment figures touring North America during the 1950s and '60s. During that time Alex worked with such greats as Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Guy Lombardo, Tommy Dorsey and Duke Ellington. Three-time Canadian and two-time North American undefeated Amateur Standard Ballroom Champions, Robert Tang and Beverly Cayton-Tang and their team of instructors from DanceScape will showcase Ballroom Dance demonstrations. There will be free Dance lesson in Foxtrot, Tango, Cha Cha, Waltz, Rumba, and Jive/Jitterbug offered outside on the Compass area by the Waterfront. States Beverly, who will also act as co-host of the event with Alex, “The Brant Inn was so much a part of Burlington’s cultural heritage and we invite everyone to share their personal memories and dance by moonlight.”

danceScape was founded by Beverley Cayton-Tang and Robert Tang, former 3-time Canadian and 2-time North American Undefeated Amateur Standard Champions, having represented Canada at five World Amateur Standard Championships. They were consultants to the author of a book about competitive Ballroom Dancing entitled, "Ballroom Dancing: The Rhythm, Romance and Style" and were also featured in it. They have appeared on many television shows on Slice, W-Network, HGTV and CH Television.
