Jhonavel & Rolan’s Wedding Dance

Jhonavel & Rolan Matias were the Wedding Saviours Contest Winners in 2013 for the Halton-Peel (HP) Region. Their journey through young parenthood involved finding out that their son, CJ, had a type of brain cancer called Medulloblastoma. With their financial situation, they found it difficult to consider getting married. Winning the contest gave them a second chance to become united as a couple and a family.

They were married on April 12th, 2013 with the help of a team of caring wedding professionals and business partners in Halton-Peel Region. Brenda Holdsworth, Founder of Wedding Saviours, spoke to Reporter Susan Hay of Global Television, about the “pay-it-forward” philosophy of the Free Wedding Contest offered to couples in need.

danceScape’s Robert Tang & Beverley Cayton-Tang taught Jhonavel & Rolan, winners of the Halton-Peel Wedding Saviours Contest, a Wedding Dance Crash Course Lesson. They wanted to incorporate a Mashup of songs to surprise their guests on their big day! This is the Highlights version of the video (full Video available at www.dancescape.TV). Their Free Wedding was held on Friday, April 12th, 2013 at the Italian Canadian Club of Milton.
