Dance City - the National Dance Agency for the North East of England presents NewcastleGateshead's premier International dance festival, Dancing The World '08, with a mouth watering line-up, showcasing some of the dance world's elite choreographers and leading dance companies.
The festival is a celebratory creative gathering never witnessed on this scale in the North East before!
Dancing The World '08 is part of NewcastleGateshead's world-class festivals and events programme, managed by culture10 based at NewcastleGateshead Initiative.
The FACTS:
Dancing The World '08 will include... performers from 13 different countries around the globe ; the festival programme is made up of 39 live performances ; Dancing The World '08 will showcase 6 brand new commissions ; 24 dance companies and 35 choreographers will take part in Dancing The World '08 initiating the skills of over 140 performers.
